UTILITIES – MGP and Power Generation
Biogenie has been providing its services
to the utilities sector in Canada, the United States, France and the
United Kingdom since its inception in 1986. We have an established
track record for understanding and resolving the complex issues
related to the remediation of former manufactured gas plant sites.
Such sites were successfully remediated in very different regulatory
settings and geographic environments. These projects generally
required a combination of various
technologies, such as bioremediation, thermal treatment and landfill.
Many of these large and complex projects clearly demonstrate our
outstanding project management capabilities.
In the power generation industry, Biogenie has remediated several
former diesel power plant sites. Typically, challenges on these
sites stemmed from their remote location and/or location in Northern
climatic areas (see our Northern Region Expertise section). Thus,
remedial solutions for these projects involved a great deal of
logistics planning as well as adaptation to the resources available
locally.
