Site Assessment and Rehabilitation (SAR)
Biogénie has been rehabilitating sites and decontaminating soils and groundwater since 1986. Our company’s activities conform to the laws and regulations concerning the protection of our environment and are carried out with the greatest respect for the geoclimactic context. Our experts offer:
- Soil testing or characterization (identification of its structure, nature and composition) to analyze its content and examine its impact on the environment,
- On-site or off-site treatment of contaminated or decomposing soils or groundwater,
- Management and supervision of wide-ranging or high-level complex decontamination projects.
Biogénie has successfully tackled several soil and property decontamination challenges, including decontamination of abandoned refineries, oil and gas industrial facilities and plants, as well as wood processing facilities where toxic chemicals were used. Our company has overseen more than 1,000 site rehabilitation projects. Each year, we treat more than one million tonnes of contaminated materials (soil, sludge, residues) on site or off site, at one of our 18 soil treatment facilities. We have also worked on several groundwater decontaminating operations.
